Our Leadership Team

Jodie M. Heal, President

Jodie Miller Heal literally grew up with ASK…for Home Care, which her mother founded when she was just 2 years old. She was steeped in the traditions of family values that have shaped our philosophy, including a special relationship with her grandfather, who lived peacefully at home with her family during her entire childhood. She is the perfect choice to transition the business to the next generation, without losing it’s unique essence.

Today, Jodie is not only an accomplished CPA with her own firm, Heal Accounting, but she has more than twenty years of experience in accounting and business advisory services, including her affiliation with ASK in various positions.  She also belongs to several professional organizations, serves on numerous Boards, including The Maine Women’s Network, and is active in many fundraising endeavors.  In addition to this rich heritage, her vast knowledge of modern business practices, financial management, and technology will ensure that Ask…for Home Care remains at the forefront of modern healthcare practices.

Joanne Miller, Founder

Joanne, as Consultant, continues to be engaged in the business she started over 40 years ago.  Although her daughter, Jodie, has assumed the principal role of transforming the business and the home health industry, she continues to lend her expertise and years of experience in a mentoring role.  Her retirement time is spent ballroom dancing, playing bridge, traveling, swimming and going to Celtics games.  Her best job ever is chauffeuring her youngest grandson, Austin, to school, camp, swim team, basketball and soccer.

Sarah comes to us with a BS in Nursing from the University of Maine at Fort Kent, a BA in Business/Economics from the University of Maine at Farmington and an Associates in Nursing from Southern Maine Community College.  Sarah joined the ASK’s nursing staff at a time when she thought her nursing career was over due to illness.  She persevered through the challenges brought on by her illness and is a vital part of the ASK team.  She not only brought her passion for nursing to ASK, but also her amazing creativity.  All of our holiday cards and special occasion cards are created by Sarah.  When she is not at ASK Sarah teaches classes in scrap-booking and card making as well as selling her beautiful creations at local craft fairs.  Her personal experiences together with her years of hospital experience make her the perfect person to mange medical services for our clients and supervise and mentor our nursing staff.

Sarah Dailey, Director of Nursing

Mallorie, as Charge Nurse, had 10 years of hands on experience as a Certified Nurses Aide before she earned her Nursing Degree. She has continued to be an exemplary and hands on nurse for ASK since 2015, devoted to clients and staff. She relaxes by spending time with her family and beachcombing for sea glass, which she uses for crafts. She is also very involved with the young people in her church.

Mallorie Shuman, Registered Nurse

Nancy, as Office Manager, brings her years as a Postmaster and Education Technician to her position. She multi-tasks with humor and patience. As everyone’s first point of contact, she actually answers the phone and listens, rare qualities today. In her spare time, she enjoys puzzles, word games, hiking and spending time with friends and family - especially her son, daughter-in-law and grand-dog.

Nancy Lunt, Office Manager

“Your staff are highly competent, cheerful, helpful, and invariably pleasant company for my mother.  They have made a huge difference in her quality of life.”
